Fewer chemicals in our vines and massal selection for increased biodiversity, less waste, as well as water and energy savings: we are constantly improving our practices and are proud to witness the results, as reflected by our Organic Farming accreditation at the Domaine de Longue Toque.

Glass
Savings made since 2009:
2 060 tons, equating to 1,469 tons of CO2
Savings made with thenew program since 2019:
314 tons of glass per year.
As well as reducing the weight of 80% of our bottles (from 520 g to 410 g) and improving our recycling of plastic film waste, glass-loader pallets and cardboard sheets, we are also improving our waste management. We have implemented a recycling point for our used masks; with the help of a sheltered employment partner, these are then transformed by Versoo into plastic pallets and used to produce polypropylene items.
Water
Difference between 2018 and 2021
Ratio of water consumed in total hl on the site per hl of packaged wine: –4%
Drinking water saving: –13%

In addition to the European Minimeau programme (https://minimeau.fr), which aims to minimise water consumption in the food industry, we saved 2.5% of drinking water in 2021 by reusing some of the water processed by our water treatment plant.
Despite new effluents added, our water treatment performance remains far below the regulatory limits (COD, BOD5, SS*).
*COD: chemical oxygen demand. BOD5: 5-day biochemical oxygen demand SS: suspended solids.
