CSR: A communal concept

Commitment, excellence and independence: these are the three key words that Jean-François Curie, the CEO of Boisset – La Famille des Grands Vins chose to describe Gabriel Meffre during our latest assessment by AFNOR (the French standardisation association). Due to our “Exemplary” status as confirmed by the assessment, we were asked to share our best practices and experiences by acting as a pilot for developing the Group’s CSR strategy launched in 2021. Implementing such an initiative within our parent company constitutes an ambitious challenge, with a view to embracing even better practices. As the only international standard that sets out Social Responsibility guidelines, ISO 26000 is a structured and holistic initiative; although awareness of this standard is unfortunately low amongst consumers. Pooling our business and marketing methods demonstrates our agility and adaptability. Redistributing the sectors and portfolios has also led to our sales representatives gaining an extremely high level of specialisation. The Fat Bastard brand of varietal wines saw strong development during the pandemic period between 2020 and 2021 (+ 14.3%), demonstrating how our offer can adapt to market expectations.
