Grape varieties

Grenache noir, Syrah

Winemaking

Blend of Grenache and Syrah grapes. The grapes are harvested in the early morning hours, when the temperature is cool and to ensure they arrive fresh at the winery. They are then de-stemmed and crushed before spending several hours macerating on the skins at low temperature to acquire the delicate pink hue. The clear juice is drawn off and fermented at around 12° to 14°. A brief 3-month maturation takes place in tank before bottling. Vegan Friendly.

Our "Gabriel" collection is named after the illustrious founder of the winery, Gabriel Meffre. Very early on he selected certain grape varieties with the aim of producing exciting and flavourful wines. It is to celebrate this adventurous and visionary spirit that we created this uniquely retro cuvée in his honour.
